"Blessing in Disguise" is a conversation about what hopeful messages and rituals might lie hidden in Christian doctrine for the modern secular millennial trying to do good in the world. We met and got catechized in El Salvador, and we hope to explore the biggest, thorniest concepts within Christianity to offer new perspectives and help inspire our generation to continue to act for peace and justice in a complicated world. Hosted by: Laurel Marshall completed her Masters in Theology from the University of Central America in San Salvador, El Salvador, and has spent over five years working with Salvadoran communities around issues of social justice and agricultural sustainability. She's a convert and aspiring farmer. Hannah Perls is a former geochemist turned human rights advocate and future law student. She came to El Salvador over three years ago as the first non-Episcopalian missionary for the Episcopal Church, working on issues of forced displacement and human rights. She loves broccoli and dancing to cheesy pop music in her kitchen. Music and Audio Editing by Gerardo Rivas.
