Westmoreland Coal Co.'s shares gave back the last of their gains since November after disappointing first-quarter results. The coal producer had an adjusted loss of $2.06 a share, rather than the break-even quarter predicted in a Bloomberg survey of analysts. Westmoreland cited the effect of relatively warm weather on demand.
