Intro: Welcome to Episode #1 of my new baseball podcast called “Try Easier”. My first guest is a very special one. His name is Bobby Kay — the brother of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Kay. I spoke with Bobby just after Major League Baseball announced its operations had been indefinitely suspended due to the growing corona virus pandemic. We talked about his college baseball career, his recent trip to spring training and his projections for the 2020 season — if there even is one. Spoiler alert: he thinks Bo Bichette is really good! Bobby even gave some advice to my 14 year old son regarding how to put his best foot forward when making the jump from travel baseball to high school baseball. We spoke about ketchup chips too. Even though we had some recording quality issues, Bobby Kay’s voice shines in our conversation. He just sounds like a ball player. Outro: I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Bobby Kay. He was the perfect guest to help launch this podcast. Speaking of helping launch this podcast, you can too!
