Dr. Brian Swimme’s perspective stems from his work as a Cosmologist & Mathematician, both of which he studied and has pursued a career in in order to understand better our Universe and how it works. He was a professor at CIIS and is the founder of The Story of the Universe. He is also the author of several books, including Cosmogenesis. He brings the context of the story to our understanding of the 13.7 billion-year trajectory of cosmogenesis. He is co-author of The Universe Story, which is the result of a 10-year collaboration with the cultural historian Thomas Berry. Swimme is also the creator of three educational video series: Canticle to the Cosmos (1990), Earth’s Imagination (1998), and The Powers of the Universe (2006). He has spoken one esteemed stages, including The World Bank, UNESCO, The United Nations Millennium Peace Summit, TEDxBerkeley and countless others.
