The Baltimore Orioles absolutely spanked the Yankees yesterday and seem to have their number this season. Gio wonders if they’re the new Red Sox, Rays or Astros, meaning the team that will stand in the way of the Yankees winning it all. Gio called it a ‘wake up call’ spot and not a ‘panic’ spot. Boomer said if the Yankees don’t win it all this year, they should not sign Juan Soto because he was supposed to be the difference maker. Then the Mets can sign Soto instead. Boomer said there is now a blueprint to beat the Yankees. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day and he starts with the Orioles beating the Yankees 17-5. The Yanks are only 2-5 against the Orioles this season. Gleyber Torres left with a groin injury, which still confuses Al. ‘Where is the groin? Do women have groins?’ In the final segment of the hour, Gio tells the story of a run in with a homeless man with a stocking over his face and intern Anthony from upstairs. A caller wonders why Boomer is so fired up this morning.
