Hour 1 The NFL season got off to a great start last night with the Chiefs narrowly beating the Ravens. Gio doesn’t know who can beat the Chiefs this year, but he knows it’s not the Ravens. They just can’t get it done against them. Boomer appreciates the aggressiveness that Lamar Jackson plays with, but he thinks he’s going to get himself hurt if he keeps it up. The Chiefs have become the Patriots. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and he starts with the sounds of Kevin Harlan calling the action from Ravens/Chiefs. We debated the overturned TD with no time remaining. John Sterling was on with Evan and Tiki to announce he will be returning for the final week of the Yankees season and the playoffs. Mike Francesa said he’s making a mistake coming back after retiring. That is rich. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has some thoughts about John Sterling coming back to do Yankee playoff games. Gio explains why you should not feel bad for the 3 guys that have been doing Yankee games. Hour 2 The Giants play the Vikings in week 1 and Gio said it’s a huge game for both teams because of their schedule after week 1. The Vikings are favored at MetLife but Gio sees it as a pick ‘em. Who will Daniel Jones be this year? Boomer likes Brian Daboll calling the plays because he thinks he’ll be aggressive and all over Jones. Gio thinks it’s going to be a high scoring game. We got an invite to a wedding but it’s in Dallas, Georgia. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer made a comment about the Spike Eskin days, ‘when the PD protected the talent’. Jerry starts with the sounds of Kevin Harlan and the call that ended the Ravens/Chiefs game. Baltimore put up 452 yards in the loss. The Tigers beat the Padres with a grand slam to help the Mets out. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is judging a burlesque show on Fire Island this weekend at the Island Mermaid. He’s going to wear a Bengal tiger suit. Hour 3 A caller wonders if Gio’s dog, Elvis, has pooped out the rubber duck he ate. He did poop but did not poop out the duck. We talked about people that steal nice golf balls from the driving range. Balls like the Pro V1. A caller loves Kevin Harlan and requests the call of when a person ran on the field at the Super Bowl. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Chiefs beating the Ravens. Jalen Hurts talked about playing tonight in Brazil to start the ‘24 season. Aaron Rodgers expects greatness when he takes the field. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about some singers that are popular on the pop charts right now. Hour 4 We talked about the NFL season getting underway last night and all of the streaming services you need to see all the games. We talked about the Eagles and Packers, 2 playoff teams, facing each other in another country to start the season.
