Dave Cullen, Berks County’s resident Grammy Award Winner, shares a great story of his experience with another Grammy Award Winner from Berks County, Taylor Swift! Dave says her personality is real and down to earth, much like the personalities of the jazz musicians that are in town for the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest. Dave Cullen is one of the original Groovemasters and will be performing with them at the Inn At Reading on opening night. Dave feels it is important to give back and so he teaches guitar to music business students At Millersville University, to music education majors at West Chester University, and to music therapy majors at Elizabethtown University. Dave Cullen’s plays a wide variety of genres and he has a special Gospel Mass performance scheduled during this year’s Berks Jazz Fest. Dave shares some behind the scenes stories of the music business and offers a piece of advice for his music students.
