Looking for a steady stream of advice on excelling in Paramedic school, the NREMT certification exam, and a career in emergency medicine? Subscribe and ring the bell and we’ll notify you when Brainscape drops a new podcast. You'll find our in-depth study guides over at Brainscape’s Academy for Health Professionals: https://www.brainscape.com/academy/health-professionals/.
Welcome to episode 3 of our multi-part NREMT Paramedic Exam Prep series, in which we ask you questions on the most important concepts you need to know to crush the paramedic certification exam. (You can also listen to these questions in podcast format here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2387872/episodes). All of these questions are drawn from the official National Registry Paramedic test outline, so working through them is super valuable exam prep.
In this third episode, we ask you 30 questions on Trauma, such as:
0:00-0:27 Intro
1:31 What rhythm is shown in an ECG Strip?
5:01 What jewels are used in adult synchronized cardioversion?
7:45 What is hyperventilation shock
Once we’ve asked you a question, try to think of the answer from memory. You’ll have three seconds to answer so pause the video if you need to.) We’ll then reveal the answer, which you can review before we move on to the next question.
We move pretty quickly through these practice paramedic questions so don’t hesitate to hit the spacebar if you need more time to digest the answers!
For hundreds more questions like these, make sure you get Brainscape’s NREMT Paramedic flashcards in your corner because they are the fastest, most efficient way to ingrain and retain the content you need to know to do well on the final exam: https://www.brainscape.com/learn/nremt-paramedic.
And don’t miss the rest of the episodes in this NREMT exam prep series in which we test you on the other high-yield topics in paramedic school, from Airway, Respiration & Ventilation to Cardiology & Resuscitation, Medical, EMS Operations, Special Populations, and more!
We hope this podcast improves your confidence and readiness for the NREMT paramedic exam—don't forget to give it a thumbs up—and that you now have the tools you need to rise to your challenge!
