Last week, Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German was found stabbed to death outside his home, presumably for his reporting on elected official Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles, who was arrested several days later in connection with the murder. Simi Valley Acorn editor Sylvie Belmond and Camarillo/Moorpark Acorn editor Becca Whitnall sit down to discuss how the tragedy shed light on the importance of local watchdog journalism, the dangers journalists can face and the emotional toll reporting can take on mental health.
