Michael is a freelance voice over artist and copywriter out of Los Angeles, California. My home studio is equipped with Source Connect Standard, a Sennheiser 416 and Neumann U87 and an Apollo Twin. I voice a wide array of work, including commercials, animation, video games, audiobooks, corporate narration, eLearning and medical narration. I have a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and I toured throughout the world as a standup comedian for fifteen years.Michael Orenstein toured throughout the U.S. and Canada for 16 years as a stand-up comedian, coming to Los Angeles in 1996.
Michael has worked on several game shows and appeared in dozens of commercials, short films, and theater projects. Michael taught improvisation and acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute for several years, before focusing on voice over. He has voiced hundreds of commercials, video games, dubbing projects, and animated shows over the past 17 years.
In 2016, Michael began teaching voice over technique and character creation to students whose ages range from 3 to 70.
One of Michael’s students is his 13 year old son, Avi, who was diagnosed as being on the spectrum when he was 8 years old.
