Liz Honeybone is in the textile department at the National Theatre. She has always sewn, making and adapting her own clothes, and she shares her expertise on dye, on making costumes speak through their colour and texture, on responding to furlough by making scrubs for the NHS and learning about natural dyes. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm make this episode as good as a strong coffee, and my sister Janet, who gave Liz her first job at The National, gets a shout out too.

Liz is part of the collective, the Skip Sisters
