Interviews by Dan Sandberg, Brembo North America CEO host of Brembo Red with Formula drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr, Porsche factory driver Patrick Long, NASCAR crew chief Chad Knaus and Mike Messina from the Brembo North America Racing team. In this episode of Brembo RED, Dan Sandberg goes coast-to-coast starting at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, to the LA Auto Show and then to the home of NASCAR, Charlotte, North Carolina. Dan first talks with iconic Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr., who gives us a Drifting 101 course explaining what drifting is all about and how he has become a professional “fun haver.” We then head to the LA Auto Show to talk to Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long. Patrick tells us about his newest project – an air-cooled narrow body Carrera – and gives us a preview of the 2020 Luftgekühlt car show, the eclectic air –cooled Porsche car festival that Patrick founded 7 years ago. Dan then goes cross country to the headquarters of Hendrick Motorsports, to talk to one of NASCAR’s most successful crew chiefs and NASCAR TV Commentator, Chad Knaus. Chad talks about his career at the top level of professional racing including how he “coaches” drivers like Jimmie Johnson (7 championships) and now William Byron across the finish line. Finally, Brembo’s North American Race Manager, Mike Messina recaps the racing highlights of the 2019 season.
