A lifelong North Minneapolis resident, Jamil Ford's pervading mission in life is to make his home community a better place. Founder of Mobilize Design & Architecture with David Witt, Jamil's work is focused on the Northside of Minneapolis. Highlights of its projects include The Commons at Penn Avenue, a 45-unit affordable housing complex on the north side, and the North Minneapolis Hennepin County human services hub. His favorite part of the job is building relationships; designing buildings that inspire people in the community and the people that occupy the interior space within.
