Did you know that a galactic year is the time it takes for our solar system to make one orbit around the center of the Milky Way? That's about 200 million years! During this journey, high-energy comets might hit our planet when we pass through the galaxy's spiral arms. This can lead to big changes on Earth, like forming new supercontinents. Scientists predict that in the next galactic year, we might see another supercontinent come together, just like Pangaea did millions of years ago. Imagine all the continents merging into one massive landmass again—how cool is that?
