HIGH SPEED RAIL: $54 Million for Madera Station

A federal grant of $54 million will build a train station for Madera. The San Joaquin Joint Powers Authority, which overseas the Amtrak trains, is planning the new station. Phase One will cost $25 million. Phase Two will cost $130 million.
