Latoya Washington sits down for a candid conversation with CEO Demetria Goode, founder of The Goode Fight, LLC. Demetria Goode was brutally beaten and stabbed by her Ex six times in 2013. Burdened by trauma and pain, she believed it would stop in death, and attempted to take her own life. Demetria’s plan was interrupted, when her youngest daughter described how much she loved and adored her. From that point she took on a new, positive, and fresh outlook on life. Determined to heal, she began the process of loving herself in the past, present and future. Obstacle after obstacle, Demetria started to confront, accept and acknowledge what it was she did have control over in her life. The road to healing would form the foundation and basis of the inception of The Goode Fight. The mission of The Goode Fight, LLC is to positively impact the lives of victims affected by domestic violence or life trauma. We strive to complete this mission by making connections and sharing life experiences in a group setting, or in individual sessions. The Goode Fight's vision is to help others with support they may not otherwise have within a space free of judgment.
