This week’s edition of Bubbly & Banter features the beautiful, talented, and witty Jennifer Leggio (@mediaphyter and cohost of the Quick-n-Dirty podcast) with hosts Mark Johnson (@philosophygeek) and Julie Crabill (@julzie). Listen in to find out the real reason behind the @mediaphyter moniker. . .

Our original topic was going to be centered around the real cost of social media but, as can be expected over a bottle of fine bubbly, we meandered to even more interesting topics. We started talking about cost in terms of maintaining blogs, server space, and time, but then moved into talking about how each of us uses social media both for our “side” projects (blogs, twitter, etc.) and our actual jobs. Three perspectives: Jennifer is the professional blogger with a day job, Julie is the PR queen, and I am the product guy who likes to write on the side. We agree that we’re all brand stewards and have to be careful what we say – though we also agree that social networks can be inherently self-regulating.

Note: the sound quality isn’t perfect, but we’ll work on that for the next show.

As always, we appreciate retweets, comments, and suggestions for topics/guests!
