Between conference realignment, College Football Playoff expansion, new helmet radio technology, and more, the 2024 college football season was already set to be one of the most tumultuous in the history of the sport. Now, according to a report from Ross Dellenger of Yahoo, another big change could be coming to the sport this fall.
The NCAA Football Oversight Committee has introduced a proposal to allow schools to have as many on-field assistants as they want coaching during practices and games. So who would this rule benefit the most, and why is the American Football Coaches' Association firmly behind it?
