This week, Prophet Hari teaches principles on locating and receiving help. Help is not automatic, it must be located.

We’re not all born into equal circumstances. We all have a different economic background, information (way of processing life) and relationship status (network strength). Relationships are real currency in the Kingdom of God and in the world.

Often, God helps us by sending someone to us. You can be helped by holding the hand of one that is holding God’s hand. Can you discern the hand that is tugging and moving you forward? The speed at which you receive information is determined by the quality of the relationships you have access to.

You can’t decide where you are born, but you can decide how you acquire certain advantages in life. The biggest advantage we have in life is our relationship with Jesus Christ. We serve a God who is above our limitations.

The Word tells us that those who lack wisdom, must ask for it. But the question is, do you know that you lack wisdom? The biggest lie in every human being is the sense that they know. We don’t know that we don’t know. If there is a persistent lack in your life, it’s because you have allowed it to stay in your life. Locating help is an art.

In Genesis 39, the Bible tells us about the life of Joseph, how he was succeeding in everything because the Lord was with him. The Potiphar was able to perceive and recognise that there was something different about Joseph, so he elevated that grace and gave him authority. Potiphar brought everything under his covering, and was blessed because of that. All because He recognised and honoured a man that was close to the purposes of God.

Joseph’s family couldn’t recognise that the one who sustained Egypt was in their house. Small minded people fight greatness.

Potiphar was a wise man, he recognised grace. But his wife was not able to recognise the spirit that Joseph was carrying because she was too carnal. You can either be great, or the reason for greatness to leave your environment. Grace can either be drawn to you, or frustrated by you. His wife wanted something that was evil in the sight of God, and she was chasing that result. When you reduce grace for selfish reasons, the grace will exit your life.

Potiphar was furious about hearing his wife’s story, so he got rid of the favour of God by in-prisoning Joseph. Be careful to study the source of where your stories come from. He managed to do what his wife did, which was to drive grace out of their environment.

In Genesis 41, Pharaoh was disturbed by his dreams, so he sought out the interpretation. God knew that Pharaoh wouldn’t rest until he got the interpretation through Joseph. Pharaoh was so desperate that he gave an audience to a prisoner.

When he recognised that Joseph solved the mystery, he elevated him. The Pharaoh was operating at a higher level than Potiphar, because he elevated Joseph and kept him close. He made sure that his help would never be taken away from. He gave him authority and a wife. He knew how to sustain his help.

It’s one thing to receive help once, and it’s another to sustain help in your life.
