All Wealth is relative.

What do I mean by this? I am referring to the simple fact that true wealth is defined by each one of us. I heard Morgan Housel telling a Chris Rock joke where Chris Rock said, if Bill Gates woke up with Oprah’s money, he’d jump out a window. Not only is that funny, it probably true. Bill Gates is worth over 110 billion and Oprah is worth 2 billion so that would be a major loss of wealth.

Perception is an interesting thing. How you see the world actually matters. It matters more than almost anything else in terms of experiencing reality.

If I told you that I made $50k a year and worked 3 hours a day and had plenty of time to engage in hobbies, go to all of my children’s sporting events and school functions, walk the beach and lounge and do anything I want in the other hours of the day, would you say I’m wealthy or am I successful?

You must look inside for the answers in life. How you measure your life, your success and your wealth cannot be defined externally. If feelings are born from perspective, you must ask yourself, how can I change my perspective. This is where success lives.
