Dan Taylor is a former award-winning television sportscaster and author. He was a finalist for the Casey Award for Baseball Book of the Year in 2021 with Lights, Camera, Fastball: How Hollywood Stars Changed Baseball.
Additionally, he has written "Fates Take-Out Slide" in collaboration with George Genovese (2017), "A Scout's Report: My 70-Years in Baseball" (2015), "Rise of the Bulldogs" (2009), and "Walking Alone," which tells the story of Kenny Washington. He is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, as well as a member of the Pacific Coast League Historical Society. Dan Taylor is also the television broadcaster for the Fresno Grizzlies.
