Chapter 11: Burnout

Just like the tools we use every day in our business, our bodies and minds have the potential to burn out due to overwork and exhaustion. Without taking the time to care for ourselves, we run the risk of burning out, which can make decision-making, creativity, and fostering client and personal relationships incredibly challenging.

In Chapter 11 of “Business Life of Husband & Wife,” Robyn and Clint delve into the signs of burnout and share practical tips to help you bounce back:

  1. Healthy Choices: Prioritize nutritious food and drinks to fuel your body and mind.
  2. Quality Sleep: Ensure you are getting enough rest to rejuvenate.
  3. Open Communication: Be honest with your spouse and business partner about how you’re feeling.
  4. Disconnect: Take time away from phone calls, emails, and the constant demands of business.

Recognizing these signs and implementing these strategies can make a significant difference in maintaining your health and productivity.

Chapter 12: Why We Continue to do What We Do

Being a married couple in business together means our relationship is a major investment and crucial to our success. Various factors—external, internal, sociological, and psychological—play a part in why we do what we do. For Clint and Robyn, it’s about the dance, the love of the game of business, the strategy, the process, the ideas, and the plans. The constant desire to be better versions of themselves is what keeps them going.

As they change and adapt, they do it together. When it all comes down to it, everything started with love, and that’s really the center of it all—that’s why they continue to do what they do.

By understanding the importance of self-care and the deeper reasons behind their business journey, Clint and Robyn offer valuable insights for couples working together in any field. It’s a reminder that nurturing both your relationship and your well-being is essential for long-term success and happiness
