The story of Kendall and Dave Daly, the couple behind Amend Market, a sustainable plastic free refill shop located in Greenville, SC, may seem like a classic Romeo and Juliet tale: a Sustainability Coordinator and an Exxon Employee. Kendall’s family taught her the love for nature, which she eventually translated into a passion for sustainability in her own life. She brought the first plastic free refill shop to South Carolina- an option for people who wanted to cut down on unnecessary plastic waste. The idea is for people to bring any container they already have and fill it with products from Amend Market- dish soap, laundry detergent, all purpose cleaner, and other necessities for the home. Dave has been along for the ride in many ways from building the pull out system for their porch refills, setting up farmers market, working at the physical location, web design, and more.
