Their Origin Story
Founded by chemical engineer Laura Burget and business school grad Connie Lo (both 23 years old at the time), Three Ships Beauty was made with a mission to make high quality, natural skincare accessible to everyone. Frustrated by the high costs of natural skincare products that actually worked, Burget and Lo scraped together $4,000 to build a better skincare solution.
On nights and weekends, in addition to their full time jobs, they combined their efforts and expertise and began making all-natural formulations in Lo’s apartment. Burget and Lo knew that many people were priced out of the all-natural beauty scene who wanted desperately to be part of it, and they made a pact to keep each of their products accessibly priced under $40.
