This episode of But Her Lyrics… tackles track 9 on Wonderful Hell, “In Your Path” Host Shawna, with the band, describe how this song is based off of a feminist Chilean protest chat from the Las Tesis collective. They also talk about how weird it was to make a music video for the song (OUT NOW) in the middle of a pandemic. The episode ends with an interview with Margaret Killjoy, a transfeminine author, musician, and podcaster, who teaches Shawna about personal safety while protesting. As always, Jenarchy and Sue need a reminder of what song we’re talking about, Brooks talks music theory, and Dave, who everyone thinks is very chill, assures us he is not chill as you think.
