Kidd, CMILT, CPE™) and a stop in Europe a few weeks ago visiting with the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) (with an associated press release). We check in on the Maritime Transportation Data Initiative (MTDI) and the (from the press release) soon to be released report and recommendations.
4- Laura Curtis of Bloomberg reported last night that the ports of Port of Long Beach and Port of Los Angeles were effectively shut down due to lack of labor. Today, she reported a similar finding in the ports. This was confirmed by Ian Weiland (Junction Collaborative Transports). Something to watch -- is this labor contract related or just a bad few days of labor availability?
