“When you can say “no” to sex, it makes it a lot easier to say “yes” to it.”

On this episode of Caitlin's Couch, we are exploring the effects of stress in your relationship and how it can kill your lady boner. This stress can come from any outside source, or it can originate inside your relationship. This stress may come in the form of not getting your needs met, continuing to having sex with your partner even though you have no desire to or not feeling comfortable saying “no” in your relationship and have your partner respect that.

“All of these forms of stress are going to impact your desire for sex. There is nothing wrong with you! You are NOT supposed to walk around with a burning flame of desire, always ready to go.”

In this episode you will hear about

How your desire may be buried beneath a blanket of stress

A relationship is a system. If one section is off, you may need to shift parts of your relationship in order to re-align it

How to tell if you hold all or most of the emotional labor in your relationship and how to relinquish that control

In a long-term relationship, you are having sex for different reasons and your “automatic-desire” isn’t felt as frequently. You may need to practice “responsive-desire”

Ways to feel better in your relationship and more interested in your partner

How to talk to your partner in a different light in order and share from a place of feeling

Juicy Quotes from this Episode

“Everything is co-created, nothing is one person’s fault”

“When we become more aware, that gives us the opportunity to make choices.”

“If you don’t give your partner a chance to change, they won’t”

“You have much more power that you probably realize”
