“I just want a job”. “I will take anything”. Often people looking for a new job will feel they will accept anything. They may be in a situation where they think anything else has to be better. They have been unemployed or underemployed and feel they just need something.
Employers do not see it that way. They are seeking someone with a specific skill set that can help in meeting the needs of a specific position. If you put forth a generic job search strategy you will get generic results.
Focus is so important in the job search not only in what you want to accomplish but how you accomplish it. It is important to have focus so you do not become distracted and lose precious time when you can be achieving results.
Today’s episode looks at why focus is important and how to become focused. We also look at how it can be applied to the job search.
