How to Market Yourself in 2024: 3 Key Strategies

If you are struggling to market yourself, there are 3 key strategies you can use to get results.

  1. Focus On Your Ideal Client
  2. Be Consistent
  3. Focus On the Problems You Solve For Your Ideal Client

Focus On Your Ideal Client

It can be uncomfortable selling yourself online.

You might think thoughts like, what are people going to think?

We can't control people's reactions to us, whether it's from an in person interaction, or a social media post.

What we can control is our mindset and intent when we post something.

Instead of thinking about yourself when you post, try shifting your mindset and focusing on the recipient of your post.

Think about how helpful the information will be to the recipient.

Think about what would happen if they didn't have your help.

When I first started posting for Law Practice Queen online, my goal was to help at least one other female lawyer out there with my information.

Now, I've expanded my mentoring practice beyond female lawyers, but the intent is still the same. I want to help entrepreneurs and lawyers build their businesses, and have all the tools and information I have to create wealth and independence.

Try focusing on helping your ideal client with your posts and see what a difference it makes.

Be Consistent

While it can be tempting to jump around and explore many new topics, staying consistent for your audience and focusing on one thing at a time can help you grow your audience faster, and help your audience develop brand recognition.

Think: what problem am I helping my ideal clients solve? And that takes us to the next strategy.

Focus on the Problems You Solve For Your Ideal Client

When you focus on the problems you solve for your ideal client, you are marketing to potential clients that are looking for your solution. They are poised to buy.

When potential clients are searching for a service provider on Google, they are typing their problems in and looking for solutions.

Conduct market research on Google to see how your ideal client is phrasing their particular problem, and you can strategically structure your content to match how they frame their problem.

You can also talk to your audience and potential clients for market research. Your community is an excellent source of content.
