We also dive into Haney's time in the Big Leagues, and how he carved out a five-year MLB career after being a 35th round draft pick of the Seattle Mariners. Haney talks about his first Major League hit in St. Louis in 1992, how it was a relief to round first base for the first time in the Majors after going hitless in his debut a few weeks beforehand—and narrating the experience of standing beside Cardinal great Ozzie Smith at second base.
