reFashion in Olds Alberta raises funds for Gowns for Grad project

On Friday November 4th, 2011, Karen Grudeski founder of the local Gowns for Grad project and Kristin Allan, owner of Re-Find Clothing and Décor in Uptowne Olds Alberta, teamed up to present the first ever re-Fashion Show. The event, which took place at Bean Brokers in Olds, was used to promote the charity Gowns for Grads.

Central Alberta TV’s Ashleigh Schoonderbeek talks with Karen Grudeski

Karen saw that some graduates struggled with the costs of graduation and wanted to help.

Kristin Allan owner of reFind Clothing and Decor who co-sponsored the reFashion Show

Kristin Allan, the owner of Re-Find, got involved when Karen approached her and asked to be a partner. She saw the night’s events as a great way to promote Gowns for Grads, as well as provide the ladies of the area with a fun night out.

The evening also included a demonstration from True Form, headed by specialist fitness trainer Drew Taddia.

You can look forward to a spring fashion show which is expected to be in May.
