When Jesus was on earth some 2,000 years ago, He was anointed of the Holy Spirit to preach good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, bring freedom to the captives and proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. We need the same anointing in our lives and ministries today to advance the Kingdom of God. The world is longing for the true ministry of the Gospel and we must follow in the footsteps of Jesus to reach out to the sick and the lost, both physically and spiritually. Let the words of this song express our heartfelt desire to be touched by the anointing of the Holy Spirit:
