Lectionary texts for today are Acts 9.36-43; Psalm 23; Revelation 7.9-17; John 10.22-30. Today is Good Shepherd Sunday, which always falls on the fourth Sunday of Eastertide. What comes to mind when you think of Jesus as the Good Shepherd? Chances are whatever it is, it won't sustain through life's darkest hours. It is therefore time for us to grow up and develop an understanding of Christ that will give us real hope and sustain us when we need it most.
