Tucked up in Andalusia, AL we meet up with Mark Hainds, a forestry expert and mushroom farmer who knows many of the secrets that mother nature has left for us. We learn the history of the long leaf pine and its importance in the natural eco-structure of where we live. Mark entertains us with stories of his accomplishment being the first person to ever traverse the entire US : Mexico border (2000 miles) on foot. Finally we get down in the dirt and learn all about mushroom farming, checking out his totems, discussing varieties and learning some important differentiations for wild foraging.
