Chaz and AJ spoke with all the people who will be a big part of the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater grand opening. Howard Saffan, the owner of the amphitheater was on to talk about the last seconds things happening today before the doors open, and the specific candy stocked backstage for Styx and REO Speedwagon.
Then, Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on to explain how the artists AND the fans were consulted before construction of the amphitheater to offer the optimal experience for both.
Finally, Tommy Shaw of Styx called in to talk about the honor of opening the venue, how he first joined Styx, the band's relationship with Dennis DeYoung, and the strange place he found inspiration for "Blue Collar Man."
