Gladys Hodge Sherrer is a Chelsea resident who recently published her 3rd book Trapped In The Crossfire. Gladys shares the story of her ancestors migration from South Carolina to Alabama at the brink of the Civil War. This story is a depiction of thousands of family's journeys while fleeing political persecution and trying to evade the tidal wave of destruction brought about by our nation's bloodiest conflict.
