When Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Houston, it brought with it over two feet of rain and left in its wake tens of thousands of displaced people and hundreds of thousands more without power. “Overall, this experience has been incredibly rewarding.” We recently had the opportunity to travel down to the Houston area with my Keller Williams colleagues to lend a hand to homeowners whose homes had flooded due to Hurricane Harvey. One home, in particular, belonged to a couple in their 90s, who needed help getting the drywall cut out, the carpet removed, and baseboards replaced. Overall, this experience has been incredibly rewarding. We got to help a lot of families, but there are many more people who still need help. Because of this, our Keller Williams Chicago-Lincoln Park office has pledged to contribute $100,000 back to hurricane relief. We want to work together to make the biggest impact possible, so we’ll be hosting a telethon that gives us the opportunity to give back to our communities on a local and national level. For more information on how you can give back, visit https://www.reliefnow.info/ In the meantime, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email. We’d be happy to speak with you.
