The Chicago Blackhawks are now looking toward the future. The Nashville Predators gave up a first round pick as part of a deal to land forward Ryan Hartman from Chicago. The team also traded Tommy Wingels to the Boston Bruins for a 2019 additional fifth round pick. The Blackhawks also sent Michal Kempny to the Capitals in exchange for a third round pick. The Blackhawks now have eight picks in this upcoming draft. Chicago is going on a road trip starting this Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. They’ll face the Kings and the Ducks afterwards.
