Prof. Dr. Stefan Waller has been working in China for 6 years now. Within a Sino-German cooperation program at a Chinese university, he represents the German concept of a university of applied sciences. The German, as well as the Chinese education system, has its merits and shortcomings, and the approach of international academic cooperation allows students and teachers from China and Germany to experience both.
