03/13/16—Text: John 19:16-37. Today I want to talk to you about Overcoming Failure! One of the consistent, undeniable and irrefutable facts about everyone’s life is that we all fail in a myriad of ways. We fail in our relationships. We fail in our businesses. We fail in our homes. We fail in our communities. Failure is a part of life. When we think of “Failure” we tend to think of that term in two ways: (1) as Sin – a Failure to obey God, a Failure to Act in accordance with His Word, Love or Faith. (2) as a mistake – we fail through a lack of strength, knowledge, or will to act in a way that impacts us and others in a negative way. Sometimes the two combine: Sin leads to Mistakes…or Our Mistakes Lead Us Into Sin. In either form of Failure, the effects can be crippling and lifelong apart from a radical intervention in the circumstances. But today I have Good News: In the Bible, God reveals his plan to deal with our Sins and Mistakes and to redeem them and make of them something better than we could ever dream! Join Pastor Chris Schansberg and the DIBC Congregation as we study God’s Word Together and Learn How To Celebrate The Passover Lamb!
