Proverbs 6:1 - 11: Work is the necessary evil we have to do. We rejoice for Friday, and don’t really love Monday. Some love their jobs, love some parts of their jobs, or some don’t love their jobs at all. However, we need to work, because God created us to work. Genesis shows that before the fall, before sin entered, we were working. The reason work is a challenge is sin. Jesus came into the world, Jesus worked as a carpenter. In working, he fulfilled the life God wanted him to live, he feared his father and lived according to His will. We are to do the same; living in work for the Lord and not for man. This gives us purpose. Proverbs gives us the wisdom to run from laziness. The world needs to run with people working, if we are lazy, we are not contributing. This should push us to work harder for the Lord needs us to work in his creation.
