This is, in part, a plug for my upcoming Ryle Seminary Course, Theology 1, which deals with divine revelation as one of its topics. You can learn more here: https://www.ryleseminary.ca/courses-programs-page#courses-fall-2023

Translations I used

Irenaeus of Lyons. On the Apostolic Preaching. Trans. John Behr. Crestwood, NY: SVS Press, 1997.

Justin Martyr. Writings of Saint Justin Martyr. Trans. Thomas B. Falls. Washington, DC: Catholic University of America Press, 1948.

Secondary material I mentioned

Allert, Craig D. A High View of Scripture? The Authority of the Bible and the Formation of the New Testament Canon. Grand Rapids: Baker Academic, 2007.

McGuckin, John A. The Path of Christianity: The First Thousand Years. Downers Grove: IVP Academic, 2021.
