Bryan is the founder of GunnyRet Consulting, LLC. He’s a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant with 20 years of active duty service as a human resource manager, and recruiter. Bryan is personally committed to attracting Veterans to Northeast Ohio by helping them achieve all their personal and professional goals. Using his leadership and mentorship skills, he makes referrals to appropriate supportive services, employers, and makes contract or direct placements. Gunny McGown has been a successful job search coach to Veterans and military spouses across the country for more than 5 years. His job search coaching services are always free to Veterans and their spouses.
Bryan brings his passion for connecting veterans and companies for their mutual success. Bryan has nearly 21 years of combined experience in state and county government, as well as non-profit work in various leadership roles. Bryan is a founding board member, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors for NEOVETS, Inc. He conceived the concept of certifying employers wanting to hire Veterans under the NEOVETS “Certified Military Talent Employer (CMTE)™ Program. Bryan volunteers his time on several boards throughout northeast Ohio, including the Summit County Stand Down, is a Life Member and First Vice Commander of AMVETS Post 176, in Richfield, Ohio, is a member of the Wendell L. Willkie, American Legion Post 19, Akron, Ohio, and the Cleveland American Veterans Association. Finally, Bryan is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of the National Marine Corps Business Network.
