Very excited that I was able to coordinate a time to chat with Eric about his career and get into the grit of the process for one of his newer films Frank and Lola. Eric is not only super talented, but has such a great attitude and calm demeanor. This was a fun one and hope you all get something from his insight and knowledge shared.
Eric Koretz is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He graduated from the American Film Institute with a masters degree in Cinematography and has an undergraduate degree in communications design from Syracuse University. Docs he’s shot have won several awards including best film and best cinematography for Dragonslayer (SXSW 2011). His commercial credits include work for Audi, American Express, Bmw, American Airlines, Deadpool, Ford, Microsoft, MLB, Sprint/Nascar, The UFC and Vans amongst others. His narrative work includes The Trivial Pursuits of Arthur Banks, AMC’s first comedy. The features he has shot include Comet< starring Emmy Rossum and Justin Long – Frank & Lola starring Michael Shannon, Imogen Poots, Michael Nyqvist, Emmanuelle Devos and Justin Long as well as The Last Word starring Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried.
