Aja MyQueen of As If The Podcast, pulls up to Class Act Radio and we talk about how homophobia is common in Hip Hop, misinformation around sexual health, and the common misconception around HIV/AIDS affecting members of the LGBTQ community.
According to the CDC, in 2018, in the United States, the death rate for African Americans/Blacks due to HIV was higher (16.3 per 100,000) compared with any other racial/ethnic group (2.5 Whites). HIV is not a problem exclusive to members of the LGBTQ community, it is an issue that affects a number of people, especially black Americans.
