Both academic research and academic education have high standards of integrity, which are important to ensure academic quality. However, cases of plagiarism, free-riding or other improper behaviour are common. What encourages students to give in to this? And what can teachers do to prevent it? Sasker Soontiëns, from Skill-Up, discusses these questions with Tim Benning, Kris Stabel and Anisha de Vries from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Academic integrity is also one of the topics at the annual Learning and Innovation bEURs from the Community of Learning and Innovation (CLI).
