SNOW DAY!!!
Well, sort of. The amazing Dorothy Kim was scheduled to give a presentation at UMW today, but the university was closed due to snow. But Dorothy was already in town, so a few of us braved the weather to meet her and record a conversation about white supremacy, online harassment, and the effects on scholars and students. We were also glad to be joined by Kelly Baker, another excellent researcher in this space who will be presenting in a conference at UMW on Friday.
So in lieu of Dorothy’s talk, and in anticipation of Kelly and Dorothy’s contributions to a panel discussion later this week, enjoy this podcast discussion about researching and combatting online hate — and helping our students navigate that space.
