Today we’re diving into another 12 ideas to have more success with your goals. It based on the statement: S.E.T. Y.O.U.R. G.O.A.L.S. and the first letter of each word. Here is a synopsis of each one:

We’ll start with the S: Set smart goals. When making a goal smart it needs to have the following elements to it. It needs to be specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time bound.

The next letter is E: excitement! Big, exciting goals are often easier to achieve because they are so inspiring to work towards.

So now we move on to the T: Take action regularly. Give momentum and achieve goals easily through regular action, no matter how small.

The next letter is Y: Your plan. Plans are like Legos instructions. If you take smaller steps when you stack them or line them side by side, they create bigger completed steps that will lead to your goal

The next is O: Outside the box. Keep an open mind and be prepared to achieve your goals in unexpected ways.

So the next letter U: Understanding why you want your goal. If you don’t understand why you want to go somewhere it can be very hard to get there to begin with.

The next letter is R: Reach out! Who will help you achieve your goals? Who supports and encourages you? Ask for help!

The next letter is G. Go for it! No more procrastination! Stop putting things off and move forward instead. There’s a reason why action brings clarity.

The next letter is letter O. It stands for obstacles. Write them down, whether it’s you or something else that’s in the way. Nothing worth doing will ever be easy. However, now you can do something about them. Why? Because you wrote them down and now you see them!

The next letter is A. It stands for authenticity . For goals that feel good and are easy to achieve, align your goals with WHO you are.

The letter L: Learn to prioritize. More of us have more to do than time available. Ask yourself, “what matters most?” And work on that first.

And the last letter is the letter S: Staying focused! It seems like every few weeks to months there’s something new asking for your attention. Staying focused is harder than it ever has been. Which is why the previous point is so crucial to learning to how to prioritize.

And that my friend concludes the 12 points of ideas to have more success with your goals. Let me ask you which one of these 12 tips inspires you the most? Reach out to me and let me know. Simply go to edwin@edwinsoler.com
