The conversation is between two people discussing a news story about a homicide captain who was pulled over. They comment on the officer's difficult position, being put in the situation of having to pull over a superior. They commend the officer for following protocol despite the captain's insistence that he turn off his camera. They also reflect on their own experience, when one of the speakers almost said something stupid while their microphones were hot.
A police captain was pulled over for drunk driving at 1:30 AM after he was seen swerving, speeding, and not using his turn signal. The body camera footage shows the captain repeatedly telling the officers he is the captain and demanding they turn off their body camera. The sergeant told the captain that it doesn't matter if he is a gangbanger or the president, he will be treated the same. The captain initially said he had only had four beers at a friend's house four blocks away, but the Intoxilizer determined that was a lie. It is likely that the captain had actually had more than four beers.
The people in the conversation discuss how many drinks that adds up to and how that affects the man's BAC. They also talk about how eating while drinking can compound the effects of alcohol and how people think that eating will help them sober up faster. They also talk about how it's not illegal to drink and drive, but it is illegal to drive while impaired. They discuss how it depends on the person's system and how someone may not be impaired if they ate a meal with two drinks, but someone else could be if they had a strawberry daiquiri.
The conversation begins with a discussion about a body camera video of an officer pulling someone over for a DUI. The officer in the video is very stern with the driver and the conversation brings up the question: would the officer have still been as tough if he didn't have a body camera? The conversation moves on to talk about how often this kind of thing happened before cameras and body cams were implemented. The conversation ends with the speaker bringing up something they found recently that was stupid.

Highlights

We served a warrant, and of course we had everybody the two suspects were hooked up and CID was talking to them and the kids were hungry. And so we just, like, went in here. And so he's like, what do we got? And we saw what we had there and we sent some people down to the store to get the rest of the makings that we needed to be able to do. Dude, we were in there freaking cooking it up. Sat them all down, got them all fed.

I heard a story here recently of one of the guys, and I thought this was cool that I worked with. I can't remember all the details about it, but they go to the house for a search warrant and they ended up like there was two adults in the house and both of them got arrested. And there was a
