Search 5.0 were delighted to host a breakfast event to explore the meaning of equity in the workplace, and how to tackle the gender imbalance in tech.

During the panel, we hear from industry leaders on how they overcame challenges, how to successfully foster equity in the workplace, and what it means to be an advocate for our often-overlooked colleagues.
We all play a role in advocating for change in the technology world, so this was the perfect opportunity to meet fellow technologists and to learn how you can actively make a positive change in your workplace.
The panel was hosted by renowned industry figures, including:
Laura Lavery, Community and Engagement Lead at PA Consulting
Suzi Stewart, Global Talent Acquisition Manager - Digital Services at Kainos
Janine Crosbie, Belfast Site Lead and VP of Engineering at Mintel
Ross Hampstead, Site Lead Northern Ireland Tech Hub at ASOS
We also celebrated the launch of the Talent Equity list: our solution to tackling diversity imbalances in the technology industry.

We encourage firms to create roles that are centred around a person’s needs and their desired next steps so individual growth aligns with that of the business. Such role creations lead to better long-term talent outcomes for all.
Being part of this list highlights the women and non-binary individuals seeking work in the technology sector. For candidates, this means ensuring peace of mind that they are joining a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive.
